Henna
has been used to decorate bodies as part of social and holiday
celebrations since the late Bronze Age in the eastern Mediterranean.
Henna is regarded as having blessings, and is applied for luck, joy, and
beauty. Some even believe that it is a divine experience to adorn your
body by henna. At the simplest, Henna is a paste made out of crushed
leaves and twigs of henna plant. When the paste is applied to the skin
it leaves orange to dark maroon stain that will last up to 14 days.
